Meet "The Undercover Copywriter"

If you clicked on this page, you probably wanna know more about me on a personal level. So we’ll get to that in a minute. But more importantly you need to know if I’m a fit for you.

My background:

    • I’ve got more than two decades experience writing copy across a crazy diverse range of niches.

    • My training is a mix of real-world experience, self-education through books and courses, and working with some of the world’s top copywriters. But training is irrelevant. Results are what matters.

    • No, I won’t give you a list of copy I’ve written. I frequently sign NDAs. I’ll be happy to sign one for you. Who writes your copy is nobody’s business but yours.

My boundaries:

    • There are certain spaces I won’t write for. If you have to ask, it’s probably a no. Short list? Anything ethically or morally questionable.

    • I care that what I help sell actually helps people. I’ll probably ask for access to whatever program or offer you’re asking me to write sales copy for. I will also need to see feedback from your clients (or, help you gather it if you don’t have much of it yet).

    • I don’t do high-pressure or sleaze. Don’t ask me to unless you’d like to have an in-depth conversation about why selling from negative emotion only works short term but damages your brand, your reputation, and the results your clients ultimately achieve. (It creates more refunds, too.)

    • I work a very flexible schedule. You might get copy from me at 3am. I don’t expect you to respond then, don’t worry. But I’m not the 9-5 type. I love what I do and I work evenings and weekends whenever I choose to. I also take time off to spend with my Cat-Dog, and my husband. So I’ll respond to anything within 24 hours, but don’t expect instant responses.

    • I’ll require video of you and examples of your current content before I begin writing. I need to hear and absorb the way YOU speak and express yourself so that your copy comes out sounding like you!

Still wanna know the more personal sh!t?

Yes, I use adult language. But not in your copy (unless that’s your vibe). I was raised with an ultra-religious background and can absolutely tap into that as well. Your copy should always sound like YOU and not your copywriter.

Here are 7 things about me that we might have in common (or that might be part of your “livin’ the dream” life, too) and might help you decide whether we should collaborate on your copy…

    • I live full time in my RV and travel a lot. It’s been an amazing way to get to know a lot of people, have a lot of conversations, and develop my “people” skills – which translates into an ability to understand and write copy for a wide range of audiences. It also means I’m really good at staying connected from anywhere (SkyLink, Sky Roam, 3 different phone plans, and always know the nearest coffee shop with solid wifi as a back up).

    • An asshole cat with the personality of a dog calls me Mom (or human servant). My kiddos are all grown up and out on their own. So beyond dispensing cat treats and scratches on demand, I have plenty of time on my hands.

    • I’m of fan of Star Trek, spy novels, and MMA. You’re as likely to find me analyzing stats and predicting who’ll win the next UFC fights as burning incense and creating crystal grids. I embraced my weirdness and personal dichotomies long ago.

    • My degree is in metaphysical science and I love all things woo-woo. This means if you’re in a woo-woo space or have elements of it in your offers, I actually get it, understand the value of it, and can write copy that’ll make sense. (If you’re not, that’s cool too. I also speak “non woo-woo” business fluently.)

    • My favorite classes in school were Calculus, Physics, History and English. I failed PE (a “B-” is failing, right?).

    • I’m a classically trained pianist. That means I type really, really fast. Which is good if you want me to knock your copy out quickly or talk about why Russian composers have written the most passionate, beautiful piano concertos in history.

    • I can code (like old school HTML, CSS, and that jazz) and used to do SEO professionally. So I understand both the flow and emotion of language, and the structure it needs to attract and convert. I don’t just “write from the heart”. I write with structure and conversion in mind, and deeply analyze the results of every campaign to continue achieving better and better connection and results.
