The “9 Word” email from Dean Jackson is popular for a reason. It works. Just asking the simple question: “Are you still looking to…?” is a great email.
But if you’ve already sent that out lately, or even quite a few times, try one of these alternatives next!
“One Question” survey style email:
This is a simple, very short email whose subject line is usually something like “one question for a free gift!” or similar.
By each of the options, add an image of a radio button that’s a clickable link to a page with a gift and appropriate next step (generally to book a call) depending on their answer (these can all be the same page if the messaging/gift is right). Tag each image link so you can see and follow up with people based on their response.
Hi [Name],
Answer one quick question for us and when you click to send your answer, you’ll instantly unlock a surprise gift from us!
Which of these is most important to you right now:
A. [Priority A] (Example: Freeing up my personal time and automating more in my business)
B. [Priority B] (Example: Creating processes to scale my business and support more clients)
C. [Priority C] (Example: Getting a team in place to support me so my business can scale faster)
When you click one of the above to answer, you’ll go to your gift.

“Is this your question?” email:
Take the top 5-7 objections/concerns/questions you get about the program and turn it into an FAQ style email.
Subject line is simply: “Is this your question, (first name)?”
This is a longer email, and often a key piece of a follow up sequence because it generally converts higher than anything else after a webinar or similar. It can be effective as a stand alone if the audience is already aware of the offer/service.
Hey [Name],
A lot of people have reached out to me with questions about the XXXXX offer and I realized there were a few questions that you might have, too. 🙂
Fair warning: I want to be as detailed as I can with the answers, so this email might be a little bit long.
Just a quick deadline reminder before I get to the Q&As – since you’re reading this email it means you haven’t yet taken advantage of my offer to get access to XXXXX at XX% savings.
The offer ends [Day of Week]. After that, these XXXXX won’t be available again.
You can read the answers below first, and when you’re ready to grab your digital access before this special pricing goes away, just click here.
Q1: I’m a [insert the top 3-4 words that describe who your clients are or what they do], will this be useful for me in my business/life?
A1: YES! If you’re XXXXX (or even XXXXX) the resources in this package will be super helpful for you.
You can see the list of everything included here >> (link)
And here’s a partial list of what’s covered – if you’re looking for support/strategy in even ONE of these areas, you’ll get more than XX value out of this opportunity:
– XXXXX
– XXXXX
– XXXXX
This offer includes XXXXX plus XXXXX, XXXXX, XXXXX and so much more.
And while every business/person is different, the foundational XXXXX included in these courses/this program apply to every business/every one looking for support with XXXXX!
Q2: I’m [insert top objection/concern], is this for me?
A2: Only if you want to XXXXX faster and with less frustration, while XXXXX. 😉
I wish I’d known the information I shared in these courses when I was XXXXX… it would have saved me so much time and helped me XXXXX so much faster.
And, if you already [objection mentioned in question], you’ll benefit even more because you can XXXXX.
Q3: Is this [insert another top objection/concern]?
A3: This is a really great question – and a fair one.
[address objection/concern]
Q4: This is such a great offer, but it’s beyond my budget right now.
A4: I get it. It’s not a question exactly but a lot of you shared this with me…
So I thought about it and I’ve added a XX payment plan:
[link to payment plan options]
The truth is, at XX% off this really is one of those deals you can’t afford NOT to get.
Even in a crappy economy, there is no shortage of money.
Years ago I read a quote from Seth Godin that reminded me of this: “Just because the tide is out doesn’t mean there is less water in the ocean!”
What changes is how people are choosing to spend their money.
So really there couldn’t be a more perfect time to get access to XXXXX because [reason it saves or generates more money for clients].
If you’re in a cash crunch, you need more XXXXX knowledge in action and this offer covers that!
[Personal note to connect, example: Take it from someone who started a business with zero dollars and no business background. With the right information you can quickly turn things around.]
So if you’re currently struggling with financial challenges, the real question is… do you want to change that?
If you do, then you’ve got to do something differently. Don’t keep doing the same thing and think you’ll get different results.
Try something different!
Click here to unlock your XXXXX deal and get more ideas that will shift your XXXXX than you can imagine. 🙂
Q5: How do I know this will work and be valuable for me?
A5: If you don’t do anything with it, it won’t be.
If you do something with it… it absolutely will be.
Because just one idea, one marketing strategy, one tweak in your [what the offer helps with] – can easily generate/save more than the investment in this course/program.
Don’t buy this if you won’t do anything with it.
But if you know you’ll USE it – today, tomorrow, next year – it’ll be way more than worth it.
Whew! That covers the top questions I’m seeing.
And I hope it helps you to make the best decision for you.
I hope you’ll take advantage of it before the offer ends!

“This probably isn’t for you…” email:
We’re more motivated by fear of loss than potential to gain… so this is counter-intuitive but can work well.
Subject line “This probably isn’t for you…” then in the email you speak to that. For example:
Hey [Name],
You’ve been part of our community for a while and might not have seen that we offer (XYZ).
To be honest with you, it’s not a fit for most people, so we don’t share about it publicly a lot.
For the handful of clients it is a fit for, we get fantastic results:
[ Testimonial #1 ]
[ Testimonial #2 ]
And we’ve got just a handful of spots open. Is one of them a fit for you?
Here’s how to know:
[ Indicator #1 ]
[ Indicator #2 ]
[ Indicator #3 ]
If that’s you, book a call with us quick and let’s chat about getting you results like [name] and [name] above.
